I can't remember a time when we did not have a Labrador as a member of our family! As a child we always had a Labrador as a pet and now I am lucky enough to have the facilities to breed and train them.

I breed all three colours, Yellow, Chocolate and Black

My Labradors all work, 'Picking up' on local shoots here in Devon, but they are also very much loved pets.

I breed for temperament, health and soundness, I like a good looking Labrador with a nice head and plenty of bone. I concentrate on breeding high health Labradors, all my dogs are hip and elbow scored and have annual eye tests with clear certificates. Most of my dogs are tested for PRA-prcd, EIC, CNM and SD2. Each dogs health details and pedigree are on the ‘Our Dogs’ page. Health is very important to me as many of the puppies I breed go on to be family pets.

I am immensely proud of all my dogs and the puppies I breed, and I am always delighted when people who have had my puppies in the past come back to me for their next puppy and recommend their friends and family to come and see me for their Labrador puppies too.

All puppies bred at Lewtrenchard & Breazle are endorsed with the Kennel Club, in accordance with its Regulations, restricting the registering of its progeny and the issue of an export pedigree. This means that you will not be able to register any puppies from a dog bred by us, or to send it abroad without first referring back to us. This is done to protect our puppies and to ensure that our line, which has taken decades to build up, continues to produce healthy stock.

We may agree to remove the breeding endorsement provided the dog has been examined under the relevant health schemes, and the results are acceptable to us. Unless an owner is actually permanently moving abroad, it is unlikely that we would remove an export restriction.
